Save the Beaters

The scrap metal prices have soared due to demand. As prices rose dealers became aggressive in obtaining old cars. Cars that had remained intact for decades were found and crushed. (That is my buddy Louie in the picture)

This is a 1947 Mercury Woodie. This very rare car was already crunched at the scrap yard when I found it. I saved the few parts I could and the rest was melted down.

This poor old Chrysler was a victim of the Crusher! Chrysler

The VW Westfalia was something I considered buying. It was parked in the woods as a camper for many years. This one had a good outcome as Chuck,a VW lover bought it and the Baja Bug. He spotted them on my website and stopped by to tell me he had saved them. I'm glad he did.
