| This is a 1967 VW discovered by my wife when selling the home of the owner's parents. He had left the car behind when he moved. It was surrounded by trees that had blocked the path in to it. My daughter is working on making this her first collector car. She has started working on rebuilding the twin Solex carbs. |

| The car had to be removed from the property. As the closing day approached, the owner decided he did not want to come and get the car. His parents called the scrap dealer.The car had two engines and extra parts in the back seat. It is a solid car which needs minor rust repair. |

| I found out that the car would be scrapped and decided to save it. I called the scrap dealer in the nick of time when he had the car on his trailer. We negotiated a price and he delivered it. The damage on the fender was from the fire caused by the homeowner's wood stove ashes. Luckily he put it out! |
