Save the Beaters

I have been a car fanatic since I was a kid. My Dad was a jalopy racer. He always had more than one race car in the yard. Most often these were Ford or Chevy coupes. I was hooked! There was an old junkyard that my Dad did business with when I was a kid. It was filled with cars and parts from the 1920's and 30's. I rode my bike to the junkyard and was chased away by the owner who said I was too young. In the 1970's everything in the yard was crushed. Saving what is still left is why I created this site.

Three T's

I want to save the automotive history that is left from the crusher. Today the scrap metal prices have brought increased demand for old cars. The value to the scrap dealer is based on how much the vehicle weighs. The value to car enthusiasts is based on the desire to keep older vehicles on the road and bringing long dormant ones back to life.

T Town

The destruction of vintage vehicles for scrap profits is putting the future of our hobby in jeopardy. Without the parts and project cars to work with the hobby will suffer. People will not have the opportunity to start out with an inexpensive base to build into the car of their dreams. Save the beaters!

Our hobby is a great way to have fun with friends, family, and cars. We need reasonable zoning laws concerning car owners rights. I hope that you will be inspired to save a piece of our automotive heritage for future generations. Model A
