Save the Beaters

The Ford Model T touring was discovered hiding on a rock pile. My friend Louie had me take him to see the 1970 Mustang pictured. The car was in poor condition. The Mustang was too much of a project for us to take on.

I went outside with the owner of the farm while Louie continued to inspect the Mustang. Farmers usually kept old equipment on the farm in case they could reuse it. I asked the owner if there were any other old cars on the property.
Model T don't copy me

I was lead through the over grown field to the edge of the woods. Barely visible through the trees I saw a 1927 Ford Model T touring on the top of a rock pile. The car had been removed from the frame with the fenders and running boards still attached. The fenders and boards were rusted beyond salvation, but the body was savable. The only problem was the big tree growing though the rear floor area.

Tree in T
Two days of work with a chainsaw and hacksaw freed the body in two halves. It was worth the effort. This is the result of my work. It will be the basis of a project I have collected parts for. It will be built as cheap as possible. Model T saved
